Hi there fellow sailors and welcome to the August edition of the From the Captain's Table.

Just a reminder to all that our Annual Levies $20.00 per head are due now if you could please see to that and thank you to all that already have paid.

To those that have not attended one of the highlights on our calendar is our Ladies Fashion Parade, which this year, thanks to The CSI Club, Southport is to be in their "big room" and will be held on September 17th . Please register your names with Shona or Lyn to confirm your attendance and table numbers required. It is for the ladies a not to be missed fun day.

Thank you to all that have been attending the training sessions and to those that have been signed off and are now accredited for their different roles. As we are purely Volunteers it is important to keep everyone up to date with training which is one of our Committee's priorities this year.

I mentioned last month how Energy and Passion are qualities of great volunteers. Well there are more!

Flexibility : Volunteering can cover a broad range of tasks, so a willingness to get stuck in and adapt to what is needed at the time is another great important quality

Creativity : People who are creative and have good imaginations are great to be around. In short having a bucket load of passion for all things creative is another great trait in a volunteer.

Once again thank you to you all for your support of Sailability Gold Coast but like any organisation we are only as good as our people and I have to say we are the best. So keep up the good work.

Take care and may the wind be in your sails.
