Ahoy to you all and thanks to those that have been braving some of those icey winds so that we can do what we do best.

The Barefoot Bowls night went well and to those that have not been to any of our social functions please come along and join the fun and camaraderie.

I was reading an article recently on The Qualities that Make a Great Volunteer. The two stand outs are Energy and Passion.

Great volunteers hit the ground running. They are fantastic people to work with as they exude energy and approach al tasks with enthusiasm and drive. Their positive spirit is motivating and inspiring to others. Passion is infectious and when individuals use their talents and their passions they can bring life into the most mundane of tasks. We all display these traits in our own particular ways and that’s the spirit that keeps us going.

All the motors have been serviced and are now running smoothly despite a couple of hiccups with the Support Boat, We are now starting on maintenance issues with Hope and Spirit so that these boats are in excellent working order.

We would also like to give a shout out to our BBQ Brigade. Each week they are there with tongs in hand slaving over the Barbie ensuring those snags are cooked to perfection and greatly appreciated by us all. It really is something to look forward to after a stint on the water…. A nice tasty snag in bread. Great effort team, we all love your work!

Just a reminder also that our Annual Levy is due. Still $20 and you can pay it at the desk on Tuesday or Thursday of you can now directly debit to our bank account :
