Well once again Ahoy from the Captain’s Desk.

Last Friday, November 14^th saw our Annual General Meeting with the election of Office Bearers and the Committee at the Hollywell Sailing Club, There was a good turn out of members for the meeting and voting for the Committee was undertaken, with the results being :

• Vice President: Mike McGehan
• Treasurer: Neale Butler
• Secretary: Tamara Wolrige

We welcome Tamara to the team and sadly say farewell to Shona who has been a great worker with great support and ideas for Sailability. Thank you Shona.

We also thank Robyn Hay for her stint as President during which time much was achieved for the betterment of Sailability. A huge thanks Robyn.

An interesting Treasurer’s Report helps put things into perspective within the club regarding boat usage by clients. From September 2024 until September 2025 usage was as follows :

• Freedom x 881 clients
• 303’s x 677 clients
• Keel Boats x 629 (being Spirit, Hope and Flipper)

Upcoming dates to remember :

• 9^th December Clients and Carers Christmas Party
• 11th December – a final working bee for the year to clean all the boats, check lifejackets etc
• 16^th December Members Christmas Party at CSI Club Southport. Tickets are $25 per head, so book with Robyn and we look forward to celebrating what has been a stellar year.
• 20^th January 2026 We start back for the year.
